PCC
The Prerogative Court of Canterbury
A very small number of PPC wills are, or will be, included on this site.
The PCC was the highest probate court in England. Cumbrians would not usually use this court, but might be obliged to if they had property in more than one local probate jurisdiction (e.g. Copeland and Carlisle). They might also simply choose this jurisdiction for reasons of their own.
Generally, a PCC will indicates wealth or status so far as Cumbria is concerned.
