IN PROGRESS

Agnes was almost certainly widow of Thomas Wood of Calva (buried 1621). She spoke her will in 1638.

It's not easy to determine the generations in this family. It is possible that the son Leonard mentioned in her will was the Leonard son of Thomas of Calva baptised in 1568, in which case she must have been a second wife to Thomas. He had a child as late as 1609. Alternatively, there could have been two Thomas generations.

Whatever, she clearly states in her will that John Pearson of Ullock was her son-in-law - and the parish register records the marriage to Isabel Wood of Calva as taking place in 1599. That would suggest that Agnes had married Thomas by the early 1580s at the latest.

Agnes mentioned two other sons. Thomas (who married in 1618) and Anthony (appointed executor), presumably the youngest of her sons. She had two other daughters, Janet (baptised in 1590 and married in 1620) and Agnes (baptised in 1609).
